If you happen to be a parent, you know just how difficult it is to balance work, family, home, hobbies, travel, adventures, and whatever else you want to do.
It’s just plain hard.
It’s hard to go to the gym, it’s hard to make dinner, it’s hard to go grocery shopping, it’s hard to put money in your unproductive retirement account.
Every aspect our lives is considered and reconsidered, not because we want it to, but because it’s just what you do as a parent. You plan things. The ever tottering see saw that is our lives is a delicate balance…and all it takes is a full diaper to set it into motion.
My wife and I are both the oldest in our families, and we are both meticulous planners. As we get older (one might say wiser, even) we yearn for a more “flip of the coin” mentality. We want our lives to be fun, different, unique, and exciting, without the fear loosing our minds. We want to be spontaneous.
We love adventure and are willing to deal with the unhinged aspects that come along with that as parents. This is our blog, our adventure, and we will enjoy the ride. The question is…do you think you can handle it?
